The NCD Taste & See Seminar

This seminar is designed to introduce a pastor(s) and church leaders to NCD in just 30 minutes.
This brief glance touches on the major items of NCD:
  • It’s the most comprehensive research project on church health and growth

  • It identifies eight quality characteristics which all healthy, growing church share

  • It introduces six growth or biotic principles that help churches change according to the living organism that God created within the church.

Natural Church Development is an approach to growing a healthy church that any church leader can relate to. Regardless of the size of the church, this is a way of looking at the qualities of healthy churches that reflect New Testament purposes.

Basic NCD Coaching Process

An Empower Forward NCD Coach will work with the Pastor and a Church Health Team that is made up from leaders within the church. 30 members of the church will take the NCD Survey, which measures the health of a local church. It helps a Church health team identify areas of strength and weakness. On the basis of this, the NCD coach and the Church health team that focuses on the "minimum factor" will develop a growth plan.

Transform One

Empower Forward provides coaching using the focused tool Transform One which is a comprehensive Natural Church Development (NCD) transformation process built around personal, corporate and community transformation.   This procedure has been developed to walk church leaders through a series of assessments at each level. It is built on the foundation of everything NCD has learned over the past 16 years through the NCD System and will take many churches to the next level. Leaders will learn and experience personal transformation and lead self-examined lives to be better equipped to lead the church through corporate transformation.

MaxHealth

Empower Forward offers coaching through the church health discovery process of MaxHealth. This approach is designed to move your church into mission! It is an application of the Natural Church Development paradigm!   What is MaxHealth? It is a team, problem-solving tool, that addresses critical health issues that hold your church back from its mission. MaxHEALTH can be used in several settings including a retreat environment. It is designed to assist leaders in gaining a greater understanding of growing healthy churches that demonstrate a commitment to building more and better disciples. MaxHEALTH churches develop healthy leaders who build healthy structures that produce and sustain long-term, healthy ministry.

NCD 5 Step Process

The key to success through the NCD process is to understand that this is a process, usually taking about one year for the first cycle.  Many churches find that going through this process a second or third time is even more beneficial.

The NCD 5 step process will assist you in assessing your strengths and weaknesses. In this process, the local church health team will re-evaluate the church's core values, vision and mission statements and develop a realistic plan to improving the health of the ministry of the church. 

NCD 5 Step Process is:

1. Prepare - What can we expect?

2. Diagnose - Where are we?

3. Plan - Where do we want to go?

4. Implement - What do we need to get there?

5. Evaluate - How did we do?

Become a NCD Coach

Preparing Christian leaders to effectively coach others and helping local churches or groups of coaches for building a coaching network for your needs for encouragement and support of church health and individual ministry coaching.

Levels of NCD Coach Training

Phase 1 - NCD Basic Coach Training
For: Denominational leaders, pastors and church leaders

Topics:
Comprehensive training on NCD principles and coaching process.
  • How to administer and interpret the NCD survey

  • How to guide churches through the NCD quality growth cycle

  • 20 hours of training and practical experience in the NCD process

Phase 2 – NCD Advanced Coach Training
For: NCD coaches who have completed NCD Basic Training and have worked with a minimum of two churches on the NCD survey and process.

  • Strengthen coaching skills and anchor them to spiritual foundations

  • Comprehensive overview of the Transform One process to more thoroughly prepares and engages your church in the NCD Process. Video curriculum provided to guide each coach through the process andtools such as the Insight Inventory, Conflict Style Assessment, Focused Living Retreat and Mission Insight demographic tools.

  • Learn to work with NCD Insights and Profile Plus
Discovering Christ’s Ministry
For: Denominational leaders, pastors and church leaders

Empower Forward offers this comprehensive workshop (with coaching if desired) to help participants more accurately discover who they are in Christ as well as their relationship to the body of Christ, Hi Church. The workshop involves a series of teaching exercises and assessments; the scope of discovery includes being spiritually healthy, gifted, filled with ministry passion. It also involved the application of team style, personal values, leadership role and strengths.

Beyond the practical goals and methods, each person will be given the reasons for practicing the essentials of partnership that provide mutual empowerment and a longer-term commitment. This workshop will motivate and encourage each person with the promises of God’s help and rewards for those who commit themselves to following Christ and serving in His kingdom.
