Coaching is the action of coming alongside someone and helping them define and achieve their goals. Coaching helps close the gap between what the person is presently experiencing and what they really hope to accomplish.
Dr. Bob Logan said, "A coach doesn't assume the role of an expert because this process isn't about him, it's about the person being coached".
A good coach does not come in with all the answers, but listens first, asks strategic questions and helps you to discover creative ideas for your unique situation. Good coaches help you learn from your mistakes, identify performance targets, and take responsibility for implementing necessary steps.
